Meet the Owners
A Lifelong Passion for the Outdoors
Kassie and Jason share a passion for the outdoors and for whitewater rafting. Together they have more than 30 years of river guide and white water rafting experience from all over the western United States. They have three children, Lukas, Jeremiah, and Lodore, and they too have a love of the rivers. Kassie has worked as a guide in Dinosaur National Monument since 2007. She worked for the previous owners Ty and Jen for the last 8 years. Both Kassie and Jason have a passion for the surrounding area of the Uintah Basin and love sharing that with others.
Kassie started rafting as a young girl with her parents. Her mother Linda, grew up in Vernal and spent time with many of the river runners in her youth and young adulthood. The excitement and drive to get their kids outside led Linda and husband, Riley, to buy their first raft the year Kassie was born. They haven’t stopped rafting and shared these passions with all their children. This led Kassie to pursue her love of the river by sharing the nature experience with others as a guide.
Kassie and Jason’s favorite river trips are right in their own backyard — on Colorado’s world-famous Yampa River and Green River through the Gates of Lodore. Their love for the local region shows on every rafting trip they take. Dinosaur River Expeditions is proud to be the only locally owned and operated outfitter in the Vernal, Utah area.
